We started our tour business in Barcelona in 2018: Michael and Christian, two German globetrotters who made Barcelona their home. Inspired by our love for the city and passion for authentic travel, we created intimate tours to share hidden gems, local culture, and personal stories with guests worldwide.
Building on the success and positive feedback from The Barcelona Feeling, we decided to expand our concept to our other home city – Amsterdam. With The Amsterdam Feeling, we aim to offer the same authentic, small-scale experiences that go beyond the typical tourist highlights, helping guests connect deeply with the city’s unique character, culture, and local life.
We are now extremely happy that we were featured on national German television with our Barcelona signature tour “Explore hidden streets“.
Feature on German TV in the travel programme “Abenteuer Leben täglich”
On July 29, 2022, The Barcelona Feeling was featured on national German television as part of the travel show “Abenteuer Leben täglich” (Living Adventures Daily) on Kabel 1, Germany’s seventh-largest TV network. In the episode, presenters Helen and Tamara explored Barcelona in two different ways: Tamara followed tips from Germany’s bestselling travel guide, while Helen took a more personal approach by using Instagram to find unique local experiences.
Helen reached out to us in May, and we were happy to guide her through the historic heart of the city on our walking tour “Explore Hidden Streets with a Friend.” Together, we wandered through quiet backstreets, away from the usual tourist paths, sharing local insights, hidden gems, and stories that brought the 2,000-year-old Mediterranean city to life. We had a lot of fun during the shooting not imagining how much work it would be. Seeing the wonderful result it was absolutely worth it. It was a truly unique experience.
